So.. is it just me or...Wed, 08/20/2008 - 21:21 - angelusHey Fliptup community! I have a couple of friends who have bands of their own, but apparently they are having trouble joining the website. All I'm getting at is that the site isn't user friendly as compared to purevolume.com or whatever music community websites we have out there. As much as I would like the fliptup community to grow, the website itself is not prepared to support the upcoming wave of fil-am bands who's about to join. I believe that there's a lot of things that the web moderator can do with fliptup.com. Such as making the gig schedule update an easy task, a quick confirmation if the band signing up for the battle of the bands is successful with their sign-up, and more options upon promoting the website itself or the bands competing, to list a few. It may just be me and my browser that's giving me a hard time; however, i tried using firefox, safari, and internet explorer browsers. And, all of them gave me the same non-user friendly results. I'm just writing my own opinion based on complaints from friends and my own personal "trekking" of the site. If there are any violent reactions, feel free to follow up on this post. I totally agree. I wish that we didn't have to recommend a band first, but that there should be a way for a band to register themselves. That way, they can upload their information, songs, and video without having to wait for "approval" to join.
The gig calendar is also a great way for bands to promote their shows, but if they should be able to add and delete their own shows rather than emailing the admins to do it.
